Fill up a cell based from another cell using a macro in an excel report
It happens that in my reports I need to fill up a specific word for the cells of a column based on the specific value of another cell from another column. For instance, in the column A, each cell contains a server name, and in the column P, the corresponding status. Using this macro, I want that if a server name is “winserver”, I want the status to be “obsolete”.
When I use the macro ?
If I need to change or to fill up an empty cell based from another cell.

Sub test() For i = 2 To 50 ' check cell of column A, if Group1, if yes, fill cell of column B with obsolete If Range("A" & i).Value = "Group1" Then _ Range("B" & i).Value = "obsolete" Next i End Sub
